and a description of required skills.
Automotive Repair Technician:
- Experienced in all aspect of general automotive repair
including vehicle maintenance, brake service, tune ups,
suspension repairs, exhaust, engine and transmission repairs.
- Advanced level technicians must have knowledge of computerized
engine controls and fuel injection systems. Must be able
to operate various diagnostic scan tools, scopes, and
meters required to diagnose drivability and emissions
failures. Advanced technicians must read and understand
schematic diagrams and diagnostic flow charts utilizing
computerized information data bases to access this information.
Automotive Service Writer:
- General Knowledge of automotive repair and experienced
in all aspects
of customer service and sales. Computer literate with
experience using estimating Software and information databases
to access labor times.
Collision Repair:
- Experienced in all aspects of auto body repairs and
refinishing.
- Heavy collision technicians must
have experience with computerized unibody frame measuring
and frame straightening equipment. Knowledge of damage
analysis techniques. Mechanical repairs associated
with collision damage such as suspension, radiation,
air conditioning, and electrical repairs.
- Combination technicians need knowledge
of general auto body repair techniques including metal
work, welding, plastic repair, minor structural repairs
and refinishing experience.
- Painters must have extensive experience
with automotive refinishing use multiple products.
Knowledge of blending techniques and three stage applications
required. Experience using computerized color matching
and mixing systems.
- Estimators must have strong customer
service and sales experience. Extensive experience
with damage analysis and estimating repairs based
on a general understanding of the repair process.
Estimators are also responsible for expediting parts
and managing the job through the repair process while
tracking profitability. Estimators must have knowledge
of computerized estimating software and experience
negotiating insurance claims.
Tow Truck Operator:
- Tow truck operators must have experience driving trucks
with a GVWR up to 26,000 Lbs. Knowledge of towing techniques
using both flatbed and wheel lift equipment. Experience
performing various road services including, jump starts,
tire changes, lockouts and recoveries. Individual must
be customer service oriented. A towing endorsement is
required on your license.
Office/administrative:
- Office and administrative staff perform a variety of
tasks.
- Front counter personal are responsible for customer
service, answering phones, parts management and invoicing.
- Back office staff performs tasks such as shift reconciliation
and accounting, accounts receivables, and accounts
payables. Computer literacy with knowledge of Microsoft
office and quick books required.
